Graham Butler has passed his viva with just a couple of minor corrections. His thesis was entitled 'Disease, Medicine and the Urban Poor in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, c.1750-1850' (supervised by Prof. Jeremy Boulton and Dr Jonathan Andrews) and was examined by Newcastle University's Dr Joan Allen and the renowned early modern historian Professor Keith Wrightson from Yale University.

Many congratulations Graham from your colleagues at the Northern Centre for the History of Medicine (Newcastle)!
